ARIA Award winning Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows is coming to Woodend this weekend with additional tickets now on sale. And the Midland Express has been offered two tickets to give away to a lucky reader.
Camilleri and crew are legends in the Australian music scene; described in Rolling Stone magazine last year: "Jo Jo Zep brought the soul to Oz rock and the Black Sorrows did it again".
The music of Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows spans bluegrass, blues, rockabilly, reggae, rock, gospel and soul, best known for hits including Chained to the Wheel, Harley and Rose, Better Times and The Chosen Ones, or Taxi Mary and Shape I'm In from the Jo Jo Zep phase.
The concert is a fundraiser for the 2018 Woodend Winter Arts Festival and is on this weekend - Sunday April 22 at St Ambrose Hall, Templeton Street, Woodend, at 4pm arrival for 5pm concert.
