Make sure you book your tickets to the Men United and Wellbeing for Women evenings in Kyneton on March 23, as the lineup of local speakers on health is amazing.

Tasting Fitness has created these events to empower people to make positive choices regarding their health, and to bring together the community for a fun and social night out.

Men United will host local GP, Dr Robert Power, who will discuss preventative health and the importance of visiting your doctor for regular check-ups, and fellow Campaspe Family Practice colleague, Dr David Lester, will be covering skin cancer and prevention.

Special guest Tim Robards from The Robards Method will also present on health and fitness, along with local speakers on mental health, domestic violence, urology, healthy eating and exercise.

The event has already attracted a mix of male attendees including well-known young businessman Jamie Gramberg from Cookie Crumbs.

"Men's health is a big issue and one that every male should be interested in finding out more about. The way I see it is, you only have one life, why not make it as healthy, happy and positive as possible."

There are various raffle prizes from local businesses, along with a flight from the Kyneton Aero Club and a dining package from the Kyneton and Hanging Rock Racing Club. Money raised from these items will go to Lifeline Central Victoria.

Over the road at Mr Carsisi, the Wellbeing for Women event will play host to Marye O'Brien from Maiaveda who will talk about self-care and a holistic health approach.

Tim Robards will also present at the women's event, and there will be other presenters on healthy ageing and more.

Sofie Lowe from Macedon Ranges Plumbing is looking forward to a fun, yet informative night out with other women.

"We are excited to be attending this event and look forward to listening to others and improving our quality of life."

Both events will provide health information leaflets that can be taken home, and the women will also be receiving a small goody bag.

"I have tried to source local where possible as I am a firm believer in supporting local business," said event organiser, Kate Coleman.

"There will be soaps from Windarring, and a few other surprises made by local women and mums starting out in business."

Tickets need to be purchased by March 19 for catering purposes at or call Kate on 0404 205 144.
