I would implore Macedon Ranges councillors to enjoy a couple of iconic features of the Macedon Ranges. Firstly, climb Hanging Rock and from the summit enjoy the peace and tranquility offered by 360-degree scenic views. From Mt Macedon all the way to Mt Alexander the views are of majestic mountain scenery, farmland and bush, uninterupted by any man-made features other than farmhouses. Secondly, stand at the southern edge of Daly Reserve in Gisborne and enjoy the spectacular view to the Mt Macedon range across centuries old indigenous bush - only interupted by the historic Eblana homestead. We are lucky that previous councillors (like UL Daly) protected these places, but the current council is considering placing major developments in both of these locations and destroying these iconic vistas forever. Please, have another look before it's too late!
