LANCEFIELD

Lancefield Junior Football Club will kick off an exciting 2012 season with its registration and meet the coach night on Friday February 10. The evening will kick off at 4pm at the Laurie Green Pavillion with a barbecue and sausage sizzle. All new and current players and their families are encouraged to attend. The club intends to field teams in all age groups again from Under 9 through to Under 16.

During the off season, the hard-working committee is pleased to announce that they have secured the services of some talented coaches for the coming season. All coaches will be in attendance on the night, where they will meet players and families and outline their plans for the season ahead.

They are: Steve Giles will take on the Under 9s; Paul Rix the Under 10s; Danny O’Meara the Under 12s; Shane Trewarne the Under 14s and Sean Tobias the Under 16s. All coaches have previous experience in coaching at the club and look forward to them passing on their experience to the kids. Although a committee has been re-established, the club would appreciate some more parents to step forward and help with the day-to-day running of the club. The committee is still looking for someone to manage the merchandise and the tireless canteen workers could always do with some help. The committee would really appreciate any help at training nights, match days or first aid. Training commences in the coming weeks and practice matches only six weeks away. Get behind the Lancefied Junior Tigers in 2012.
